One golden evening, two family wineries, and a swim in between — the best of Dalmatian wine by boat
Two tastings, a swim in a hidden lagoon, and Hvar's wine country reached only by sea.
We cruise from Hvar to the sheltered bay of Bilo Idro, home to a legendary seaside konoba reachable only by boat. Here you start the evening with a tasting of local wines paired with freshly caught Adriatic seafood, lanterns beginning to flicker as boats bob gently at the mooring.
From Bilo Idro, we cruise on to Milna Borca, better known as the Green Lagoon, for a refreshing swim in its calm, glowing water between the two wineries. Then it is on to Colnago, where the Colnago family has tended vines for generations. From their stone terrace, the vineyards roll down toward an endless blue horizon, and the air smells of rosemary and salt. Here you taste their handcrafted wines paired with local cheese, olives, and cured meats, and either watch the sunset from the boat or relax at the winery until it is time to cruise back to Hvar Port.
